Founder & CEO of Neelu Matchmaking
I am Neelu, the founder of Neelu Matchmaking. Born and raised in New Delhi, I moved to London 30 years ago, bringing with me a rich blend of cultures and experiences that shape both my personal and professional life.
I have maintained a deep connection with my Indian roots through family and friends. My fluency in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, along with my understanding of both Eastern and Western cultures, especially around family and marriage, gives me a unique perspective in bringing people together.
With a Master’s degree in Child and Family Welfare, I’ve always had an innate ability to understand human behaviour, the challenges people face, and the complex dynamics of relationships in today’s ever-evolving society. Over the years, I found joy in introducing my unattached friends, and to my surprise, many of those introductions blossomed into beautiful love stories! After playing cupid one too many times, I decided to turn this passion into something bigger.
As I delved deeper into the world of modern dating, especially for accomplished professionals, I saw a clear gap. Despite having vibrant social lives, many successful professionals were finding it more difficult to connect with that special someone ! Traditional matchmakers felt outdated, and dating apps lacked that personal touch and, frankly safety was questionable.
That’s where Neelu Matchmaking comes in. I offer a premium, confidential, and bespoke matchmaking service tailored for South Asian professionals based in the UK and globally . These are individuals who are too busy achieving their career goals but haven’t given up on finding love. I’m here to help bridge that gap by providing a personal touch and in-depth understanding that goes beyond algorithms and swiping. Manisha set up her own personal styling business, for the modern day woman. From home wardrobe edits, to shopping consciously, each step of the journey is meticulously curated for the individual. With an emphasise on building knowledge and confidence to use personal style as a pillar of wellness.
Manisha studied Fashion styling at London College of fashion and is a member of the stylist club at Harvey Nichols and volunteers as a wardrobe stylist for Smart works charity, who support underprivileged women to secure employment. Specialist area of interest and study: the psychology of fashion and how it positively effects wellbeing with Professor Carolyn Mair.
